The premise of this one-act play is that of a reality-based talent show, much like American Idol. It is the final show of the season in Fantasia. There are four entries left to show their Mundane Tales, spoofs that feature a distinctly different moral or lesson to live by. Each play within the play has its own characteristic “flavour” - where each play follows a very different, particular genre. Two of the four “mini-plays” feature song and dance.

This one-act play is the first 'sequel' of Once Upon a While. It follows the same format, but has a new panel of judges and, of course, four very different entries that perform their Mundane Tales, spoofs that feature a distinctly different moral or lesson to live by. Each play within the play has its own characteristic “flavour” - where each play follows a very different, particular genre. One of the four “mini-plays” feature song.

The play to be read is Macabre Park - a new murder mystery by first time playwright, Trenton Ellis. The series of events takes place in MacArthur Park, an upscale and very old Mansion at 41 Riverside Drive, Manhattan, overlooking the Hudson River. It is the first staged reading of the play and different from the script they rehearsed with just the day before - as the playwright made several edits after the last rehearsal and had some serious difficulties during the final printing. The cast get their scripts at the very last possible moment and proceed to do their very best.
